Here you will find information on my family history as well as links to good resources for genealogy.
I have been interested in genealogy since Jr. High School. I was given an assignment to start a genealogy record of my family. It just so happened that one of my Great Aunts was visiting. I sat down with her and filled in what she knew about my Mothers side of the family.
Then spoke with my Father on the phone to get his families information.
Some how I managed to keep track of the book I entered all of this in. I still have it today. Over the years some of my siblings have found it and added their comments to it.
After I got married I started working on it again. Since I was living in Salt Lake City I had easy access to the family history library.
Now it is so much easier with so much on line . In addition to records there is also the ability to have a DNA check run to help you find more about your family.
That is the type of information you will find on this page.
Managed and run by the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. One of the best research sites on the Web.
Ancestry.com is a commercial site with a lot of good information and they offer DNA for genealogy. This site is not free however there is a free trail available if you want to see if it something you will use. In my opinion it is a very good resource.
I have not used this site but it is recommended as a good beginners site.
I used this site for a little while but did not find anything I could not find on one of the other sites I have used.
